Mental Health
Mental health is the level of psychological well-being or an absence of mental illness. It is the state of someone who is "functioning at a satisfactory level of emotional and behavioral adjustment"
That is the definition of mental health on Wikipedia. Most of what you search , on the internet is all factual and scientifically proven but the psychological factor is often left out. So in simple words mental health is the limit of stress a person can cope up with.

Past, present, future. a memory, the situation and expectations. These three, respectively affect a person's mental health. There is no physical test or scan that reliably indicates whether a person has developed a mental illness.
In India one in every 13 people suffers from some or the other mental disorder ranging from depression, drug abuse, alcohol addiction, tobacco addiction, etc. And I am sure that we all know and interact with more than 13 people every day.
At some point in all of your life, your mental health was at its worst and you didn't feel like doing anything and your mind just thinking about why, when, what, how did the thing happen. Heartbreaks, broken trust, rough times whatever the reason all you wanted to do was cry out loud, scream and be alone and didn't give a care about anything else. I know everybody can relate with it, it's fine, it's nothing to be ashamed about.
With such low mental health often comes self-harm like drug abuse , excessive drinking, cutting, violent behavior and a lot more. People want to escape reality and find these as the easiest and quick fixes for the overlying huge problem. Just for a temporary high, they are ready to risk their long term mental health.
I have been there too. maybe not exactly like you but I have been there & that's why I am writing this. Trust me everything will be fine someday maybe not today but if you really believe that everything will be better, it will be. There are so many things you haven't experienced yet. You are still breathing and if you are still waking up every morning, that's meant for a reason. u are in this world for a reason. Whoever is reading this, I hope you get through the struggles you may face today.
Relationships are one of the most important aspects of our lives, yet we can often forget just how crucial our connections with other people are for our physical and mental health and wellbeing. People who are more socially connected to family, friends, or their community are happier, physically healthier and live longer, with fewer mental health problems than people who are less well connected.
It’s not just the number of friends you have, and it’s not whether or not you’re in a committed relationship, but it’s the quality of the close relationships that matters. Living in conflict or within a toxic relationship is more damaging than being alone. As a society and as individuals, we must prioritize building and maintaining good relationships and tackling the barriers to forming them.
If, while reading this you are in a bad situation or if you ever find yourself in a bad situation, the solution is to open up, just talk to someone who cares about you, your friend or relative whoever makes you feel comfortable.
You can also work on your mental health yourself all you need is your will power. I believe that every one of us has a strong will power they just need the right motivation to use it. You should do activities that excite you, singing, dancing, drawing, writing, sports. Activities that you feel motivated to do and excel in. Exercising is one of the most important things you can do to combat stress. It might sound weird, but putting physical stress on your body through exercise relieves a ton of mental stress.
You can relieve stress by also changing the environment around you, small changes can build up to larger changes along the way but you must take the first step to bring about the change, remove everything that is negative around you and fill it with positivity and then gradually you will get the motivation to work on yourself and improving your lifestyle. The best way to get motivated is to listen to other people's struggles and how they overcame it. Maybe that will work for you, maybe not but what you have to get out of it is the motivation. Motivation when pointed in the right direction, can do wonders for a person.
Everybody in the world is seeking happiness there is one sure way to find it. That is by controlling your thoughts. Happiness doesn't depend on outward conditions. It depends on inner conditions. You must be motivated to create happiness around you. Old or young, male or female, whoever you are I want you to know that you are loved. If you have been through a lot I am proud of you for being strong enough and pushing through. Even if you haven't felt your best lately just know that there are people who love you and care about you. Things are gonna keep happening and it’s not always gonna be the same, it will get better with time. It’s okay to feel sad for a while but you have to be strong and never lose hope.
Good things take time.
