How to be productive during lockdown?
I know that not being able to go out, meet friends, go to the gym, etc. can be really irritating. As a matter of fact, it already has affected your mood and productivity and lead you to spend your days on the couch binge-watching Netflix. Hey nothing wrong with that, but in the long run, you are most likely to regret you didn’t use your time in a more positive way.
Think of three things that you’ve been wanting to do or learn but kept it aside because of lack of time or motivation. Maybe you’ve been wanting to start writing, learn a new skill, try a new recipe.Whatever it is, no more procrastination, this is a perfect time to get things done!
1. Get a Morning Routine
Create a morning ritual, like making a cup of coffee, doing a few stretches, or playing a happy song; anything that can help you set the tone for your day and that you can do on a regular basis. You have to avoid snoozing and try to wake up every day at the same time, your internal clock will thank you. Furthermore, avoid looking at your phone first thing in the morning, take a few minutes to check in with yourself and then you can check what the rest of the world is doing. Developing the perfect morning routine that maximizes your lifestyle and tendencies -- while squeezing the most productivity out of your days -- is a trial-and-error process. You have to know yourself in order to custom-make the best morning routine for yourself. What works for someone else might not work for you.
For example:
Do you need a 'wake-up coffee to even get into the shower? If the answer is a screaming "yes," consider building it into your routine.
2. Clean your space
Having a neat, clutter-free working space will instantly calm you down and reduce distractions. So, if you are surrounded by clutter maybe it's high-time you tidy things up.
A saying goes that your space reflects your state of mind. Thus, a clean workspace means you are constructive and productive. On the other hand, 'not-so-organized' causes extreme anxiety while making decisions.
A good and productive workspace can make employees happy and improves their focus on work.
3. Make a plan
(Schedule your day & week)
If you’re reading this article, then it’s safe to say that you want to become a more productive person. After all, it’s been found that 40 percent of the time we spend at work is unproductive.
What about the other 60 percent? how are they able to be productive? Well, the answer is simple. They follow a routine and have found their own habits and their own ways to get more done in less time.
Most people want to know the single best way to schedule their day for maximum productivity, and there are numerous videos, articles, and books that claim to know the "perfect schedule." But the reality is, there is no single perfect method for it. Because we all have particular strengths and weaknesses when it comes to time management and productivity. Again, what works for one person could be a total disaster for another.
4. Take breaks
Make sure to take time to rest, take a coffee break in the sun or a walk around the neighborhood (if you can still go out) You will come back with fresh energy to complete your activities.
It turns out certain employees were consistently more productive than their colleagues, and they weren't the ones who sat on their desks and kept working till the job was done. They were the ones who took frequent breaks.
"For roughly an hour at a time, they were 100 percent dedicated to the task they needed to accomplish. They didn't check Facebook 'real quick' or get distracted by e-mails. When they felt fatigue (again, after about an hour), they took short breaks, during which they completely separated themselves from their work. This helped them to dive back in refreshed for another productive hour of work."

5. Eat healthily
Getting the right fuel into your body will help you feel energized. Fill your fridge up with fruits, veggies, nuts, and seeds. Stay away from junk food and refined sugars; paying extra special attention to your diet during these days in which we are more sedentary than ever, is super important.
6. Exercise
Make time to work out regularly. So many gyms, yoga and pilates studios are currently offering free online classes, take advantage of that! Doing physical activity will not only make you feel happier and energized. But it also is a good way to release tension Over a shorter time-frame, an exercise routine can give you more energy throughout the day. A habit of regular exercise will help keep you mentally sharper throughout your entire life.
7. Meditate
Learning how to clear your mind is incredibly powerful. It can help you to eliminate negative thoughts, worries, and anxiety. Plus, it has great benefits in terms of productivity as it helps with focus and better sleep.
8. Dress up for yourself
Dressing up a bit rather than staying in your PJ’s or chill clothes the whole day can be such a mood booster. So take a shower, put on some nice clothes and start your day fresh.
